- Changes from Firmware Version 1.4 to 1.5
-
- • The display when Home time zone or Travel destination is selected in the Set up > Time zone and date > Time zone sub-menu now shows only the names of major cities in the currently selected zone.

- Changes from Previous Versions
-
Changes from Firmware Version 1.3 to 1.4
- • Fixed the following issues:
- - In certain locations, location data could sometimes be inaccurate, unavailable, or unreliable.
- - The display would sometimes fail to follow changes to camera orientation (portrait to landscape or vice versa).
- - Interval timer photography would end after 1800 shots.
- - The camera would sometimes stop responding to controls other than the power switch when movies were filmed in Moon mode.
|
Changes from Firmware Version 1.2 to 1.3
- • Fixed an issue that resulted in Points of Interest (POI) for Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan not displaying correctly.
|
Changes from Firmware Version 1.1 to 1.2

|
Changes from Firmware Version 1.0 to 1.1
- • Addressed the following issues, which in rare circumstances would occur when the eye sensor was used to switch between the monitor and electronic viewfinder displays:

- Updating the Camera Firmware
-
- Create a folder on the computer hard disk and name it as desired.
- Download F-P900-V15W.exe to the folder created in Step 1.
- Run F-P900-V15W.exe to extract the firmware to a sub-folder in the new folder. The resulting file and folder hierarchy is shown below:
P900Update
- firmware (the sub-folder containing the firmware)
- firmware.bin (the camera firmware, located in the “firmware” folder)
- gpsfirm.bin (the firmware for the GPS module, located in the “firmware” folder)
- Using a card slot or card reader, copy the “firmware” folder to a memory card that has been formatted in the camera.
Note: Be sure to copy the “firmware” folder to the root (top-most) directory of the memory card. The camera will not recognize the new firmware if it is placed in a folder under the root directory.
- After confirming that the memory card write-protect (“lock”) switch is in the “write” (unlocked) position, insert the memory card into the camera and turn the camera on.
- Select Firmware version in the Set up menu and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the firmware update.
- When a message is displayed stating that the update is complete, turn the camera off and then on again. The firmware update for the GPS module will then begin automatically (if the camera starts normally, the GPS module update is already complete).
- When a message is displayed stating that the second update is complete, turn the camera off and remove the memory card. Note that the second update will take longer than the first.
- Confirm that the firmware had been updated to the new version. If the current firmware is not version 1.5, repeat the update from Step 1.
