This software update program is for the customer-owned product listed above (the “affected product”), and is provided only on acceptance of the agreement listed below. By selecting “Accept” and clicking “Download”, you are held to have accepted the terms and conditions of the agreement. Be sure you understand the terms of the agreement before beginning download.

  • • This service supplies software that can be used to update the firmware for KeyMission 360 cameras to version 1.6. Before proceeding, check the camera firmware version. You will not need to download this update if the firmware listed above is already installed.
  • • This update includes all changes made in previous updates.
  • • Use the latest version of the SnapBridge 360/170 app.
  • • Updating the firmware may end pairing between the camera and the smart device. Pair the devices again if necessary.
  • • Read the information below before proceeding.
Changes from Firmware Version 1.5 to 1.6
  • • Fixed an issue that prevented pairing between the camera and devices running the SnapBridge 360/170 app under iOS and iPadOS.

Changes from Firmware Version 1.4 to 1.5
  • • Uncompressed equirectangular video of the view through the lens can now be output via the HDMI connector together with audio from the camera microphone. See the online manual for more information.
  • • Fixed an issue that caused visible variation in contrast in images recorded using Active D-Lighting.

  • • Improved pairing and connectivity between the camera and Android OS devices running the SnapBridge 360/170 app.
Changes from Firmware Version 1.2 to 1.3
  • • Made improvements regarding an issue which resulted in connections between the camera and iOS 10.2-compatible versions of the SnapBridge 360/170 app becoming unstable.
Changes from Firmware Version 1.1 to 1.2
  • • Fixed an issue that would in rare circumstances cause parts of photographs to be recorded in black-and-white.
Changes from Firmware Version 1.0 to 1.1
  • • Added support for iOS 10. Users of iOS 10 will also need to upgrade the SnapBridge 360/170 app to the latest version, which supports iOS 10.
  • • Improved connectivity when pairing with the SnapBridge 360/170 app.
  • • Fixed an issue that resulted in spherical 360° images not displaying as spherical 360° images when uploaded to Facebook.
  • • Files recorded using Loop recording are now divided into a maximum of 6 parts rather than 5.
Viewing the Camera Firmware Version
Computers
  1. Connect the computer to the KeyMission 360 and launch the KeyMission 360/170 Utility.
  2. Click the Set tab.
  3. Use Firmware version to check the camera firmware version.
Smart Devices
  1. Launch the SnapBridge 360/170 app and pair the smart device with your camera (if the devices are already paired, the SnapBridge 360/170 app will connect automatically at launch).
  2. Tap Camera settings in the Camera tab.
  3. Use Firmware version to check the camera firmware version.

Updating the Camera Firmware
  1. Create a folder on the computer hard disk and name it as desired.
  2. Download F-KM360-V16W.exe to the folder created in Step 1.
  3. Run F-KM360-V16W.exe to extract the firmware to a sub-folder in the new folder. The resulting file and folder hierarchy is shown below:
    • KM360Update (the sub-folder containing the firmware)
    • update.bin (the camera firmware, located in the “KM360Update” folder)
  4. Using a card slot or card reader, copy the “update.bin” file to a memory card that has been formatted in the camera using the KeyMission 360/170 Utility or SnapBridge 360/170 app.
  5. Insert the memory card into the camera.
  6. Press and hold the camera photo and movie buttons simultaneously to start the firmware update. The status LED will turn off when the update is complete.
  7. Use the KeyMission 360/170 Utility or SnapBridge 360/170 app to confirm that the firmware has been updated to the new version.

Updating the Camera Firmware
  1. Download F-KM360-V16M.dmg.
  2. Double-click the F-KM360-V16M.dmg icon to mount a disk image containing the folder and file below:
    • KM360Update (the sub-folder containing the firmware)
    • update.bin (the camera firmware, located in the “KM360Update” folder)
  3. Using a card slot or card reader, copy the “update.bin” file to a memory card that has been formatted in the camera using the KeyMission 360/170 Utility or SnapBridge 360/170 app.
